A Journey Through the History, Spirituality, and Beauty of PortugalIf you are looking for an experience that combines spirituality, history, nature, gastronomy, and some of Portugal’s most fascinating landscapes, this is the perfect tour for you.

Join us on a full-day journey from Lisbon and discover Fátima, the impressive Moeda Caves, the magnificent Batalha Monastery, the fishing town of Nazaré, and the charming medieval village of Óbidos.

Meet your guide in Lisbon and board a comfortable, air-conditioned van. As we leave the city behind, enjoy the beautiful Portuguese countryside, with rolling hills, fields, and charming small villages along the way.

Our first stop is Fátima, one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world. It was here, in 1917, that the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children — Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta.

Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, including the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Chapel of the Apparitions, built at the site where, according to tradition, the apparitions took place. You will have time to explore the sanctuary, learn about its history, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this special place.

Before continuing our journey, you may also have the opportunity to taste a Portuguese specialty at a local snack bar, such as the traditional suckling pig sandwich.

We then continue to the Moeda Caves, a fascinating network of limestone caves discovered by local hunters. Descend underground and discover natural galleries, rock formations, and different chambers shaped over thousands of years.

Next, we head to the town of Batalha, where we will visit the impressive Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline architecture was built to celebrate the Portuguese victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota and is one of Portugal’s most remarkable historic monuments. Admire its cloisters, chapels, and intricate architectural details while discovering the stories that helped shape the country.

We then continue to Nazaré, one of Portugal’s most iconic coastal towns. Famous for its fishing traditions, the traditional seven-skirt costumes worn by Nazaré women, and the giant waves of Praia do Norte, the town offers a unique combination of culture and nature.

Visit the Nazaré Lighthouse and admire the views over Praia do Norte, famous for waves that can exceed 30 meters (100 feet) during major winter storms.

You will also have time to explore the town, stroll along the seafront, or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.

We finish the day in Óbidos, one of Portugal’s most enchanting medieval towns.

Enter through its ancient walls and wander along narrow cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed houses decorated with colorful flowers. Discover the Church of Santa Maria, admire Óbidos Castle, and, if you wish, walk along the town walls for beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

And, of course, no visit to Óbidos is complete without tasting the famous ginjinha, the traditional Portuguese sour cherry liqueur, often served in a small chocolate cup.

Throughout this day, you will experience different sides of Portugal — from the spirituality of Fátima and the heritage of Batalha to the coastal landscapes of Nazaré and the medieval charm of Óbidos.

A complete experience to discover Portugal’s history, culture, nature, and flavors all in one unforgettable day.
